Strange Behavior: This shocker in regards to a grisly murder in a tiny Midwestern town (shot in New Zealand!) got inexplicably excellent reviews in numerous places. You wonder what all the excitement was in reference to. Cast includes Michael Murphy, Louise Fletcher, Dan Shor, Fiona Lewis, Arthur Dignam, Scott Brady, and Charles Aisle. (98 minutes, 1981)

The Agronomist: Commanding, abrasive documentary picture of an intriguing individual, Jean Dominique, a leading Haitian figure and significant player in the nation’s battle for human being rights. The film offers observations into the affairs of state and history of Haiti in recent years. The focus of the movie is to give us a lucid image of one guy’s tough determination and large seated hyman rights beliefs, and his enthusiastic love for his country. The finale is shattering. Vibrant, pleasantly detailed, and well performed, with numerous delightful astonishments during the voyage. Cast includes Laura Dem, Rohert Duvall, Diane Ladd, Lukas Haas, John Heard, Kevin Conway, Rohert J. Burke, Lisa Jakub, and Evan Lockwood. (112 minutes, 1991)

Rent-a-Kid: While the head of an orphanage takes a holiday, dad Nielsen takes over with a plan to raise money by renting out kids. While unsurprising, this stupid premise is surprisingly effective. Eventually 3 youngsters are rented by a hip ’90s couple considering adopting. A respectable family flick. Cast includes Leslie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd, Matt McCoy, Sherry Miller, and Amos Crawley. (89 minutes, 1995)

I Love You: Stupid, pretentiously arty journal of relation between Braga and Pereio, each of whom tries to exploit the other. Sonia, nonetheless, is pleasant to check out. Cast includes Sonia Braga, Paulo Cesar Pereio, Vera Fischer, Tarcisio Meira, Maria Lucia Dahl, and Regina Case. (104 minutes, 1981)
