The Remake of Dum Maro Dum

A touching tale of a brother and a sister set up in the backdrop of a lot of hippies accompanied by peppy music, was being experienced by the Hindi filmgoers for the first time. The combination of Asha Bhosle and RD Burman resulted in one of the most loved songs, Dum Maro Dum, the popularity of which hasn’t been equaled by any other song . It was through Hare Rama Hare Krishna (under the banner of Navketan films), that Dev Anand represented the rebelling young minds of that period on to the big screen .

The classic film made in the ’70s even fascinates thousands of film lovers today also. Undoubtedly, the spell cast by Zeenat Aman as Janice (Jasbir) retains its charm.

In hope to getting the same response, Rohan Sippy has made a movie with the title of Dum Maro Dum, which feature the remixed track in the same name, composed by music director Pritam. To provide entertainment to young filmgoers, Rohan connects the new and old by casting Deepika Padukone in the new film, for the song. The new movie explores the current issue of drug mafia in Goa, which works by many international links, where as HRHK dealt with the Hippie culture developed in the US in the ’60s. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Prateik Babbar, Bipasha Basu, Aditya Pancholi and Monty Munford.

Dum Maro Dum shows different characters and gives the feel of their lives. This movie presents Bipasha enacting the character who wishes to become an air hostess, Abhishek that of a policeman, Rana that of a DJ addicted to drugs and Aditya that of a trader. One more character, with many names and looks, is the authority of drug trade in Goa. He has money and power to support him. Zoe, performed by Bipasha, gives the movie a flavor of Hippie culture.

Abhishek Bachchan in the role of ACP Vishnu Kamath, trying to run away from his own past, is given the job of destroying drug mafias functioning in Goa. By putting himself in danger, Prateik’s character Lorry tries to go to the US to be with his girlfriend. Rana as Joki drifts through life after he lost everything in a rift with a drug mafia. Aditya Pancholi helps the powerful mystery man and has a hand in each and every drug trade in Goa.

Audiences can get a flavor of Goa and lives of people there, through this movie. Parties, beaches, pubs are definitely shown in the movie . Each and Every character has different background scores and the movie has music as one of his plus points. Filmed in different famous tourist spots in Goa, this thriller film is eagerly awaited by all. There are no comparisons between Hare Rama Hare Krishna and this one except for the remixed title song.

Enacting the bold characters in Bollywood with ease, Zeenat Aman personifies unconventionality with style. How I Think Online Movies Will Progress In The Future

I am a huge fan of online movies and TV shows. I actually tend to just use the web for watching movies and TV these days. I think that in a few years from now, we will only have the option of watching movies online.

The following are what I think is going to happen in terms of online movies

I have a feeling that in the future, we will no longer go out and buy individual movies. People won’t be interested in having a DVD collection anymore; they will only be kept as a reminder of the past. A virtual movie collection is probably something that most of us will have. People will be able to enjoy their movies no matter where they are because their collection will be stored online. The great thing about a collection like this is that it would be almost indestructible.

I am of the opinion that we will no longer have pirated movies in the future. I believe this is because those in the film industry will start to accept that they just can’t make the same money that they used to make. I believe that movies are going to be free universally but that the industry will still be able to make money from things like merchandising and advertising. Whatever we want to watch, we will be able to access free of charge without doing anything illegal.

In the next few decades there will be a revolution in how we experience movies. I feel that the experience will be extremely immersive and this will be far superior to the 3D we have today.

Becoming a part of the action will probably be possible by slipping on a pair of high tech glasses. It will be the norm to interact with the characters in the movie and to play games with them.

Pros And Cons Of Amos And Andy DVD

Although there appears to be a sharp division between those who find Amos and Andy funny and those who consider it racist, a new Amos and Andy DVD is now on sale. For, while this particular series first aired as a radio program with two white men playing two black men, it later moved to television. Of course, when considering the time frame in which the show first aired, it is clearly evident that it was long before the Civil Rights Movement.

For, even with such controversy, this original sit-com which first aired in the black community became very popular with both the blacks and whites. As such, there is no doubt that while some people revered the show as racist, others simply found it entertaining. However, it is often whites who know and understand black history and the struggles for freedom who are often most often most offended.

In fact, up until the time the show moved from radio to television, controversy was rather limited. However, after the two original hosts decided that using black face make-up rather than hiring black actors, such controversy spread. After which, there has remained a sense of racial discrimination with both the show and its hosts over the years.

For, as the show originally aired on radio from the 1920s to 1940s, followed by a brief weekly appearance in the 40s, it later become televised in the 50s. Of course, it was not nearly as easy for the hosts to portray black men on television as on radio so black face make up had to be used. Although, had the shows inventors been more thoughtful, this could have been the first television to show to air actual black talent.

As such, there are still those who love the show and those who find it discriminatory. Of course, when introducing this show to a family, especially one with young children, it may be important to provide a bit of history about both the show as well as the African American community. In addition, it is also important to elaborate on why some individuals find the show rather racist why others do not.

To this end, whether or not buying the Amos and Andy DVD is appropriate is something one may want to discuss with family before buying same. For, while there are hours and hours of entertaining serials, skits and television shows, some are quite racist in tone. When Did Microsoft Release Halo 3?

On May 15, 2007 the news was out, that Halo 3 would be released on September 25 in North America and the 26th in Europe. Halo 3 marked the third in a very popular series for the Xbox 360 called ‘Halo’. According to the vice president of Microsoft’s interactive entertainment business, Halo 3’s publication was much more than only a video game release, it was the biggest media event of the year. He might just have been right as well.

The full history of Halo 3 really has to start with the release of the first game in the series ‘Halo: Combat Evolved’. In November, 2001, when Halo was first released, game consoles were something of a joke as one-person shoot-em-up games. Yes, some games existed, but there weren’t the popular following that the PC games in the genre had.

That all changed with Halo, in which players could battle aliens on foot and in vehicles, in order to complete objectives, while trying to uncover the secret of the Halo. Halo pioneered limiting the amount of weapons a player could carry to two, which in turn, meant forcing the player to take strategic decisions.

Enthusiasts waited for the release of Halo 3 with baited breath. They awaited the continuation of the one-person, shoot-em-up combat format that had been dominant in the two previous versions of Halo. Microsoft calls it the ‘Golden Triangle of Halo’, which consists of gun-type weapons, grenades and others. In actuality, this was not new to one-person, shoot-em-up games, as it had existed since the very first Doom and even the precursor to that game, Wolfenstein.

So, with all of that previous history, people were full of anticipation and excitement over the Halo 3 release date. How popular and welcome was the game? Well, before its release, 3.1 million copies were sold in advance orders and retailers thought that that was insufficient.

The game grossed $300 million in the United States in only its first week. Overall it has sold over nine million copies worldwide and was the best-selling video game in the United States in 2007. Even the critics liked it, putting it the seventh highest in the all-time list of Xbox 360 games.

The Halo 3 release date, like the release date of many widely popular video games was almost like a holiday like Christmas or Easter. It leaves us with the question of what will happen with video games in the future?
