Basic Guide For Copying Wii Games

A number of readers have asked for more specific guidelines on how to duplicate Wii games, so I’ve written them up today so that you can enjoy!

You’ve probably heard that in order to play copied Wii games, you have to install a mod chip and void your warranty, right? Well, this used to be the case. But no more!

Technology has advanced by leaps and bounds in the past several years. A legendary programmer by the handle of Mighty_F_Mouse created an app back in 2008 that will let you strip any encryption or security off of your Wii games and make an exact clone copy. So now, no mods to your Wii itself are required!

And so without further ado, here are the information:

First Step:

Get a hold of the program, and save the executable file to your pc’s desktop. The exact same file works on either a Mac or pc. I do believe that they are currently creating a program for Linux.

2nd Step:

At this point, you’ve downloaded the .exe. Now you just need to double click it to make it install onto your PC. Hit “next” everytime it asks you. It will tell you that it is finished after a few minutes.

3:

Select the Wii game that you would like to duplicate. Load it in the optical drive (the CD or DVD burner) on your pc or Macintosh.

STEP 4

Launch the program that you installed in step 2.

5th Step:

Put the program into “extraction” mode, and then tell it where you want it to “rip” the game information to. I recommend just using your desktop, or creating a temporary folder for this on your desktop. Hit “Start”.

6:

Ok, if you managed to get this far, I am presuming that the copy completed successfully. If not, start again from Step Two. Now, take out the game cd out of your optical drive, and insert a blank CD or DVD into it. Any kind of CD or DVD which is compatible with your own drive works. In the programs menu, select “write” mode. And then scan to the file which it copied to your desktop. Click “Start”.

7:

After it finishes, the app may play some amusing music to let you know it’s completed, and will state that it’s finished. Fantastic! Congratulations , you simply remove the game, jot down a label onto it with a sharpie pen, and you’re ready to go! Don’t forget to place your master copy of your game within a safe and secure place, and also to be sure to play using the copied game!
