Two people with different lives cross paths in Knight & Day. The idea that they are as different as night and day is the idea behind the spin they put on the title reflecting knight instead of night. As the story continues, you begin to see that although they are different, he really does turn out to be her knight in shining armor. She is a bit reluctant to allow this, but finds herself in no position to argue.

Being on the run is not an easy thing for the characters in the movie. No one wants to get caught, yet around every corner lurks someone who’s waiting for them. They try to escape as they are being chased for possession of the item they have that the bad guys shown appear to want.

A love story begins during the movie that is comical and heartfelt. The one liners and references to moments they share reflect a relationship that grows over time. As they learn more about each other, they become closer and closer. It’s a complicated issue filled with chase scenes, moments of truth and occasional unconsciousness.

As the story develops, you learn more about her life and his as well. He isn’t as forthcoming with information as she is, so she’s forced to follow clues to find out his past. The more time they spend together, the more she shares with him about her life. Each moment may be brief, but it’s enough to keep you on your toes and wanting more from one scene and situation to the next.

The surroundings throughout this movie show the importance of showing change at every turn. Finding yourself in a warehouse and then waking up on a deserted island is not typical for many people. In order to achieve this, many creative people helped imagine the best scene and designed it to become reality. Being on the run and requiring resources means a lot of creativity is necessary. Putting together a puzzle where the pieces need to fit in the end appears to be the ultimate challenge.

Sometimes the bad guys are able to get a step ahead. That’s the only way this game works for them. When they get their hopes up and are able to continue fighting for what they want or what they need to get done, you are following each moment with them waiting for them to fail. It’s always just a matter of time before they get caught or simply fail and can’t do anything to change the situation. It just usually takes a lot of trial and error.

When you watch Knight & Day, you will see for yourself just what happens when two peoples lives interfere. From one normal day to the next where you’re being chased by bad guys with some guy you barely know, you’ll love this movie just for the simplistic comedy and drama.
